I was invited to present during the country sessions for North Macedonia (where I was more recently on a Fulbright: 2017), but, of course, the Fulbrighters heading to Moldova participate in this conference as well.
After we checked into the hotel, we went to a session for the Fulbright alumni who would be speaking at the country sessions and on other panels throughout the conference (e.g., I also presented on a panel for those bringing spouses or dependents)
As soon as I sat down in the meeting -- I saw my colleague from the US Embassy in Chisinau -- Irina!!
Was so happy to have the chance to catch up!
I do hope we have the chance to get back to Moldova in the not-too-distant future. In the meantime, we will continue our collaboration with colleagues virtually
