American Resource Center, grand opening
The American Resource Center, operated by the Public Affairs Division of the US Embassy, celebrated its opening in a new beautiful and modern facility.
The ARC has reference materials, literature, movies that are available to Moldovans interested in learning more about the politics, history, culture of the U.S.
I learned that students in the American Studies program at Moldova State University (which is located across the street from the new American Resource Center) have used the conference room facilities here to "meet" with students in the U.S. This gives me an idea . . .
Cell phones, cameras, electronic devices must be stored in a locker before entering the facility, so, I have no photos of the Ambassador or of the event or the ARC's collection. You'll have to take my word for it that it was an impressive turnout and that the ARC boasts a diverse collection of materials.
For more information about the collection of the ARC, you can see

The attached photo is of the building's exterior.
