Marine Corps Ball
On Saturday night I celebrated the 235th birthday of the US Marine Corps at an elegant ball
The Marines secure US Embassies around the globe (and have done so following WWII) Marines who are recommended by their commanding officer for this special assignment attend a joint training program in Quantico (State Dept and Marine Corps)
The opening video about the Marines (and the messages from the Commandant and the Sergeant Major) made me wish I was tough enough to be a US Marine.
The guest of honor was the US Ambassador, Asif Chaudry. Included is a photo of me and the other Fulbright Scholar and the Ambassador
