IWCM Holiday Party
The Co-President of the International Womens Club of Moldova (IWCM), Charla Chaudry, wife of the US Ambassador, hosted the annual IWCM holiday party at the residence.
It was beautifully decorated, and I enjoyed feeling the warmth of the fireplace, seeing the picturesque views out the windows of the freshly fallen snow, and sampling the delicious wine donated by Chateau Varteley.
The event also included a Silent Auction and a raffle to raise funds for the charities supported by the IWCM. Of course, I never miss an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets! And my good luck streak continued: I won a 500 MDL gift certificate for Roberts Coffee.
Under the tree were piles of gifts for children, a part of the IWCM "Angel Tree" project, that were going to be distributed the next morning.
We would have loved to have stayed longer, but, we were off to the television station to be a part of the live audience for the taping of Buna Seara.
