Limba Noastra Cea Romana, August 31
Tuesday, August 31st was another national holiday: Limba Noastra cea Romana. A holiday to celebrate to celebrate Romanian becoming the national language (and return to Latin/Roman alphabet) in Moldova. I posted a link to an article with more information a few posts ago.
As I was walking back toward the apartment to pick up Peggy after school -- the heavens opened up. The street where her bus stop is slopes downhill -- and it became like a rushing river. I don't think the photo captures the torrent. My jeans were soaked up above my knees.
