The Traditional Peasant House
This photo of the green gate was not a part of this complex, but one we walked by on the way to the complex. I include this photo because it is typical of the gates that I've seen while driving through villages. Each house is its own compound, with walls and a gate, such as this, out near the front of the road. It is very different from driving through neighborhoods in the US. This is the nice woman who literally "rolled out the red carpet" for us upon our arrival. (Well, after one of the teachers sorted out the issue of whether we had purchased our tickets)
