"Dracula's Castle" on Halloween
On Sunday we visited Bran Castle. A impressive and picturesque fortress built in 1377
While this was not actually the home of Vlad Tepes(though he may have passed through this part of Transylvania during the 15th Century) -it has been associated with Bram Stoker's "Dracula" (There are even 2 rooms in the castle devoted to Vlad Tepes and Bram Stoker, to separate fact from fiction)
We thought a visit to Transylvania - and Bran Castle - would make this a Halloween to remember. We were so fortunate to have friends to take us on this exciting adventure!
