St. Petersburg, Russia: Public Transportation

We were feeling very pleased with ourselves.  We took the tram, the trolley, the bus, and the subway when we were in St. Petersburg.  We felt like locals!

The trickiest thing was that (as it related to the tram, trolley, and bus) routes did not seem to be mirror images of each other -- and the stop where you get off would not necessarily be right near the stop where you would get back on.  And, we did have one issue when we got on a #7 bus instead of a #7 trolley (at the same stop)...but we made it back to the hotel OK.

The subway was fun.  The purple line that we took to the amusement park was quite deep. The escalators were longer than some of those on red line in Washington, DC. We joked that the subway ride to get to the park was quite a ride in itself!
