duminica

On the walk home from the Museum, we stopped off at the bookstore on Strada Pushkin in search of more of the paper doll books Peggy liked so much. While we did not find those, we did find a few coloring books, including Handy Manny and Little Einsteins (in Russian).

We also stopped by the cafe with the yellow chairs that I have wanted to try. We definitely needed the rest and the refreshments before making our way back to the apartment.

Back on Stefan cel Mare we saw this Native American performing - we sat down and must have been there for at least a half an hour. Peggy was captivated.

We bought a pot of African violets from a neighboring street vendor. These will replace the 2 dead bouquets I have on our kitchen windowsill. (I received flowers for my birthday which I haven't wanted to toss. But it is time.)

As we were approaching the entrance to our apartment, we saw these traditional Moldovan dancers outside a restaurant/banquet hall down the street -- and we had to say Hello. We are both eager to see folk dancers perform.

While we love living in the City Center, we also very much enjoy the opportunities to visit with friends who live in real houses with yards for entertaining. Here is a photo of Peggy with one of her friends. This was from earlier today, when we visited with the families of the other kids in Peggy's class at school.
