MA program in American Studies at Moldova State

On Wednesday afternoon I visited the American Studies Center at Moldova State University and participated in the Roundtable Discussion, "Intellectual Bridges to the Future." The event was organized to celebrate the opening of the Master's Degree Program in American Studies at MSU.

One of the Fulbrighters from last year taught in conjunction with the American Studies Center, so I had already heard great things about the program.

The MA program is an interdisciplinary one. I met faculty teaching as a part of the program who teach history, religion, politics, literature. It was most interesting hearing from the students enrolled in the program why they chose to get a graduate degree in American Studies.

I will look forward to participating in events and programs with the American Studies Center this Fall.
